Advisory Committee

 

In November 2009 as part of a planning session for the Women in Business network an Advisory Committee was set up to drive the network forward and focus on goals set by the network.

 

Goals and Responsibilities

 

The Advisory Committee will foster the aspirations of the network and act as a voice for the network regarding events, discussion topics and speakers inclusive of the contribution of the Women in Business network.  The success of the Advisory Committee in meeting the goals set by the network is dependent on the involvement and communication between the entire network.

 

Vision

 

The vision for the network is for a ‘Women’s network to support and foster women in business’

 

Commitment to the Network

 

In December 2009 the Advisory Committee met for the first time and again in January and will continue to meet each month and work toward implementing many of the ideas and topics that came out of the planning session.  All members are encouraged to talk with committee members at any time and add value to the network by communicating ideas.  To keep members up-to-date with discussions, copies of agendas and informal minutes will be available to view at anytime by clicking on the link below.

Becoming involved

 

It is envisaged that the current Advisory Committee will continue for a 12 month period and half the committee will vacate giving network members the opportunity to nominate for a position on the Advisory Committee.  This is an excellent opportunity for network members to further their leadership and communication skills.  Network members are encouraged to take this opportunity and be involved.
